I bought a version of this bottle as commissioned by Square Trade Goods.
I liked the overall profile of this water bottle, and it did a really good job at keeping my liquids cold.
The huge drawback is there is either plastic or silicone on the threaded cap, and there is mold or some black substance that accumulates in the grooves, making it incredibly hard to scrub clean. I tried soaking it in a solution of diluted bleach water, but the black substance won't come off.
The pros: the material is super lightweight, durable, and easy to clean. The finish feels very nice to the touch. High marks for aesthetics. The volumetric capacity is great if you drink a lot of water (like me).
Unfortunately, the threading on the neck is too short. When you turn the cap to close the bottle, you will want to stop turning upon encountering a certain amount of resistance. If you do stop here, the cap is liable to loosen, and next time you pick up the bottle, the bottle will detach from the cap and crash to the ground. Naturally, the solution is to twist the lid more deliberately and with more force. Not a big deal, you would think. But opening and closing a bottle should require no special effort. I've spent a few weeks now having to pay special attention every time I close this bottle, and I still occasionally forget, and end up with dents in the bottle and water all over the place...it's too much hassle. I'm going to stop using this.
